Capital Region Broadcaster Takes Over Weekdays from 3–7 PM as Veteran Rock Personality Dylan Ayer Moves to Middays on Sister Station 93.9 WABY
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Saratoga’s 93.3 & 96.1 Star Radio is adding another familiar Capital Region voice to its lineup, welcoming Tracy Villaume to afternoon drive, weekdays from 3–7 PM.
Villaume comes to Star Radio following her recent run at 99.5 The River and brings a diverse background in broadcasting, journalism, media, and event management to the station.
Prior to joining 99.5 The River, Villaume served as a news anchor and reporter for iHeartMedia Albany’s News Radio 810 & 103.1 WGY, The Capital Region’s Breaking News, Traffic & Weather Station. She also worked as a television news reporter for WTEN-TV.
Before her broadcasting career, Villaume worked in event management, planning high-profile events for organizations including the National Association of Broadcasters and NBC Universal. She is a graduate of American University.
Aaron Ishmael, Co-Founder of Loud Media, said Villaume’s addition represents another step in the continued growth of Star Radio.
“Tracy is somebody Capital Region listeners already know, and we’re incredibly excited to welcome her to the Loud Media family. She brings personality, experience, and a genuine connection to this community. Star Radio has been building something special, and adding Tracy to afternoon drive makes an already strong station even stronger.”
Eric Woodhouse, Star Radio Brand Manager, said Villaume’s ability to connect with listeners made her a natural fit for the station.
“Tracy understands that great radio is about more than what comes out of the speakers. It’s about being part of the listener’s day and part of the community. She’s smart, funny, relatable, and already has a connection with people throughout the Capital Region. Putting her behind the microphone every afternoon gives us another personality who can make Star Radio feel local, live, and alive. I’m thrilled to have her aboard.”
For Villaume, the move to Star Radio also brings her to a station and a soundtrack with a personal connection.
“Star Saratoga has always felt like home to me because it’s the music I grew up with and the kind of station I’ve always loved listening to,” said Tracy Villaume. “I’m excited to be part of a team that feels so connected to the community, and I can’t wait to spend my afternoons on the air talking with listeners about the songs, the memories, and the everyday life we all share.”
DYLAN AYER MOVES TO MIDDAYS ON 93.9 WABY

Villaume succeeds Dylan Ayer in afternoon drive on Star as Ayer crosses the hall to Loud Media sister station 93.9 WABY, where she’ll take over middays.
For Ayer, the move is something of a homecoming to the format she has spent much of her career living and breathing.
Ayer has burned up the dial on rock stations across the country for more than two decades, with stops that have included legendary Phoenix rocker KUPD, Boise’s KQXR, KJOT in Boise, KMHK in Billings, and Rock 93-7 in Cookeville, Tennessee, along with numerous other on-air and production roles stretching from Arizona to North Carolina, Idaho, Montana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Tennessee, and New York.
Her career behind the microphone dates back to the late 1990s in Phoenix, where she worked in promotions, morning-show production, and on-air roles before moving through stations including KEDJ, KMLE, KZON, and KUPD. Along the way, Ayer has worked virtually every daypart and worn nearly every hat a radio station can offer, from morning-show producer and sidekick to midday host, afternoon personality, production director, imaging voice, and concert-stage host.
Most recently, Capital Region listeners have heard Ayer on Star Radio, while she has also maintained a national presence on stations in several markets.
At WABY, Ayer joins a station built around the rock of the 1990s and 2000s, pairing two decades of guitars, attitude, and questionable life decisions with personalities who sound considerably less interested in behaving themselves than the average radio station.
Ayer describes her new WABY show simply:
“It’s small talk for grown-ups who like to rock,” said Dylan Ayer. “I’ve spent a lot of my career around rock radio, so getting to hang out every day with people who love this music as much as I do feels pretty natural. We’ll talk about the music, life, whatever weirdness happens that day, and probably some things we shouldn’t. Also, I apologize in advance for the fart machine.”
Ralph Renna, WABY afternoon personality, said Ayer’s arrival should make her feel immediately at home.
“Like the rest of us who work at WABY, Dylan has issues, attitude, and multiple anger management problems. Throw in good taste in music and beer. She’ll fit in just fine with our semi-dysfunctional family of radio misfits.”
Woodhouse said the moves give Loud Media the opportunity to strengthen two stations at once.
“This is one of those rare situations where everything just fits. Tracy is exactly the kind of personality we want driving people home on Star, while Dylan has rock radio baked into her DNA. Moving her to WABY lets her turn that part of herself all the way up. We’re not losing a personality from one station to another. We’re putting two talented broadcasters in the places where they can shine brightest.”
Villaume can be heard weekdays from 3–7 PM on Saratoga’s Star Radio, broadcasting on 93.3 FM, 96.1 FM, and 1160 AM, while Ayer joins the weekday lineup on 93.9 WABY from 10 AM to 3PM.
